This piece is inspired by my summers spent on the beach and the painting “The Great Wave of Kanagawa.” Waves are as beautiful as they are destructive thus the ocean has always held historic significance. Through the use of flowing directional lines the power and motions of the ocean are portrayed. Glass powder was used to create all the texture and color on the surface of the blue glass.
