Prime Cuts is a series inspired by the beauty of raw flesh and fat marbled together to make what is no less than a perfect cut of meat.

I grew up admiring these steaks at the butcher and appreciating a good steak was integral to my upbringing. When I thought about it; there was no way to retain the raw beauty of a good steak because they are only temporary (generally gone before you know it). This series was my way of preserving the beauty of raw meat. I used glass enamel powder fused into the surface of translucent red glass.
